Install tools with mise

Make a project's tools, and extra ones, available to the agent on any host.

blaise:mise installs the tools of the project's mise configuration on the host, and puts them on the agent's PATH. It works on the runner's machine, and on a machine or container that a plug before it provides.

1. Describe the tools

Add a mise.toml to the repository, or list tools in the plug (step 2):

mise.toml
[tools]
node = "22"

2. Add the plug

Put mise after the plug that picks the working directory, so that it finds mise.toml:

setup:
  - use: blaise:git/clone
    with:
      repository: https://github.com/acme/app.git
  - use: blaise:mise
    with:
      tools:
        bun: latest

tools adds to what the project's configuration lists.

3. Install the ACP agent through mise (optional)

A fresh host also needs the agent itself. List it as a tool:

- use: blaise:mise
  with:
    tools:
      "npm:@agentclientprotocol/claude-agent-acp": latest

4. Skip the bootstrap on a host that has mise

By default the plug installs mise on a host that lacks it. To fail with mise is not installed on the host instead:

- use: blaise:mise
  with:
    bootstrap: false

To leave a project's mise configuration untrusted, set trust: false. A fresh clone needs it to be trusted.

The inputs are listed in Shipped plugs.
